I am in all kinds of awe right now. While I was trying to decide on a designer to highlight today, I came across Atmosphere Interior Design, based out of Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, Canada. I first stumbled upon them because I had pinned a picture of one of their offices, and I wanted to know who the designer was. Little did I know I was about to uncover a gold mine.
As I clicked through their pictures on Houzz, I fell more and more in love with this company. Their design style is right up my alley: clean lines, simple colors, and a touch of glam. I had such a hard time deciding which room to showcase, so they may just need to appear in the designer spotlight a few more times. But ultimately, when I saw this kitchen, I knew this was what I was showing, as I would be doing backflips if I could have this kitchen in my house.

Why I Love It: You all know about my obsession with black and white, so this kitchen has that going for it. But what I really love are the little details that pull the room together: the fabulous backsplash, the gorgeous pendant lights, and those cabinets that frame the stove...sigh. I'm in love.
Why it Works: I'm not usually a fan of islands that are different colors than the rest of the cabinets. In this instance, however, it is what makes the space. Instead of simply having a different colored island, they repeated the color of the island in the backs of the cabinets that frame the stove. This pulls your eyes upward, and helps complete the space. I could go on and on about all of the other components that make this space a smashing success like the simplicity, the symmetry, but the cohesiveness of the island is what makes this space so fabulous.
So what do you all think of this kitchen? Are you as smitten with it as I am?
White, black and stainless...perfection!!
