In Part 1 on Monday, I told you we're going to be redoing our bedroom, despite being almost done with it. However, this redoing isn't a complete waste, seeing as I'll just move everything into our guest room. This is the beauty from Crate&Barrel that inspired the change:
Everybody meet Del Re. Gorgeous, isn't she? I was hesitant to buy her at first, since I knew I'd have to pretty much start from square one in terms of design, but with her $400 sale price tag (plus my designer discount on top of that), how could I say no to a bed that was originally over $2,000? That's right, I couldn't. Not only does it look awesome, it's made of bamboo (hello eco-friendly), and crafted using the supercool traditional chinese joinery (Arch history nerd alert!), so yeah, to put it mildly, I was excited about this bed.
Noel was in love with it because he wanted a "low bed," and he's a huge fan of clean, modern lines. According to the Home Goods Stylescope quiz (yes, I made him take it), his style was Urban Funk mixed with Modern Metro, and our new design speaks a lot more to that (plus a little bit of Farmhouse Glam thrown in for me). Okay, I'll quit teasing you all and show you the inspiration board.

4 // Thrift Store Nightstand
5 // DIY Chandelier
You like? I like. I found that fabulous nightstand for $25 bucks, and have big plans for it. Hint: it's going to hang, and be turned into two nightstands. I think I'll distress it a little more, but I actually like the green a lot. It complements the gold chandelier (which will hang above it). And guess what else: I made that chandelier out of toilet paper tubes. No way, right? I'll post that tutorial after the holidays. Because of the holidays, I'll be taking a little blogging break, but I'll be back in the new year with all sorts of goodies for you all. Have a wonderful holiday season!
LOVE. I liked your old bedroom idea, but this one is totally off the hook. (I was Farmhouse Glam on that quiz, too.)
