One issue I always have with kitchens is how backsplashes are handled around windows...but I'll write more on that later. I was doing some searching online looking at different kitchen windows, when I came across something I honestly don't think I've ever seen before: windows as a backsplash.
In theory, these could be a great idea for they help to brighten your workspace with their indirect light, and they provide an abundance of natural ventilation. However, there are a few concerns that I have...primarily with cleaning. Personally, I would be afraid of these windows always getting dirty, but then again, most of us have windows right over our sinks, and we (or at least I) don't seem to notice them getting too dirty.

So what do you guys think? Yay or nay on the window backsplashes? Personally, if I were going to do them, I think I would just do something like this instead. Absolutely gorgeous.
