statement sinks

In a bathroom, there are many elements that must come together to create a beautiful design.  However, one thing that can really turn your bathroom from drab to fab is the sink...especially when sinks such as those below are incorporated into your design.  Talk about showstoppers.

The Eaux Eaux sink by designer Joel Roberts is simply stunning.  This wave-like design blends seamlessly with the drain, so as not to disrupt the clean lines.

The Foglio Sink by Ricardo Antonio is another sink that takes on a wave-like form.  This rippled sink is made out of corian, and it twist and turns in all the right places to make it a focal point of the bathroom.

Another brand of sinks I am loving are the washplanes by Omvivo.  Pictured above is the Onda Washplane, and its simplicity is just stunning.

Concrete sinks have been drawing my attention too lately.  Although I don't particularly care for the tile backsplash, the copper tones throughout this concrete are just beautiful.

Lastly, a tip I love to transform a basic vessel sink is to light it from underneath.  This can be achieved with a rope light on the bottom side of the sink...and the results are fabulous. http://www.danielskitchenbath.com/Bathroom-design.html
