Have you ever googled yourself? Probably a silly question to ask, but I just did because I was curious to see what would show up. And first of all, I'm surprised at how many Kirsten Ericksons there are...I never thought it was that common of a name! But then again, I'm sure half of those are Kur-stens, so therefore, they don't count. :)
Anyways, aside from being astounded at the number of people with my name, I also discovered this little gem:
http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/ArchitecturePlanning/discover/StudentGallery/Pages/index.aspx" target="_blank"> my project from this past spring semester! (to view the project, just click on my name)
The project for the semester was to design an Environmental Tourism Center, that was both integrated within the landscape and implemented sustainable practices. It was quite an enjoyable and challenging studio - especially because all of the drawings we did, we did FREEHAND using what is called the "shaky hand" technique. Yep, that's right folks, no straight edge for this girl. It was quite the feat.
If that wasn't enough fun for one studio, we even had to opportunity to work with interior design students from Saudi Arabia. It was really neat because we would send them our buildings, and then they would send us back their interior designs and perspectives. One of my partner's original schemes is also included in the link to my work.
Enjoy!
(ps...the pictures of my models got completely chopped off so here's some better images)
