a work in progress...

I flew back to Minnesota late Saturday night, and I have been going non-stop since I've gotten home.  So far I've painted the guest bathroom and conquered the living room/dining room/kitchen with the help of my fabulous cousin...and can I just say we are LOVING having some color in the house?

We still have a ton to do...all of the upstairs, all three bedrooms, the master bathroom and our downstairs bathroom, but we're getting there. So here's a little teaser of what we've accomplished so far:

Guest Bathroom:

I'm itching to get our new tile installed, but Noel keeps tormenting me by saying it has to wait until winter. I'm just hoping for a rainy day so it can happen sooner.  I also haven't bothered to put the mirror back up because I am in search of it's perfect replacement...but for the time being, the old mirror will just sit there because I don't think Rae could survive without it :)  We replaced the black shower curtain with a nice, new white one, and in the works is the rug for this fabulous bathroom (see below).  I'll post more on the rug itself once I have the masterpiece fully finished.

Living Room/Kitchen/Dining Room:

The kitchen/dining room/living room we decided to paint a neutral brownish/taupe color (although at night it looks to have a hint of green)...and I love love love how it turned out. It looks a thousand times better than the white did.

Next up for today is to refinish the dining room table and chairs....and then sometime soon buy real curtains.  So much to do...so little time. Hope you have a great weekend!
