pretty in pink

Jenn Corazzo, knowing your love for pink, I think you'll appreciate this post.

I came across this mirror on Craigslist, and instantly fell in love.  Well, sorta.  I fell in love with what it could be.  The black and gold was a little old school for me...but for the practically free price tag, I couldn't resist this DIY.

I started out by wiping the frame down with a damp paper cloth to get any dust and dirt off.  Once it dried, I then taped off the mirror with some painters tape and newspaper.  I laid newspaper on the floor, and then the fun began.

I applied two coats of Rust-oleum Painter's Touch spray paint in Berry Pink (Gasp!...no turquoise?!  I know, I know...but have no fear...there's a turquoise mirror in the works too)

After about 20 minutes or so, once the paint was dry to the touch, I removed the tape and newspaper, cleaned the mirror, and hung this bad boy on the wall.  Isn't it just fabulous?

I just love the detailing on this mirror....SO pretty

So, in only a half hour, you can turn this dated mirror, into a stunning piece.

That's all for now...hope you enjoy the rest of the week!

  1. Great Job...I have two of these mirrors one is gold and one is black. I was thinking of painting one pink for my daughter's room. Thank you for sharing.
