Remember last Friday how I was telling you about our lamp dilemma, and that I had fallen in love with lamps that were $175 a pop?
Well, in my quest to find some beverage dispensers for our laundry closet (do I have you puzzled yet? more on that later), I went to Home Goods and stumbled on three lamps that I actually LOVED. What's even better is that they were only $30, which makes for a very happy Kirsten.
Now, the only dilemma I have is which ones to keep. They're all the same price, so that doesn't help my decision at all. I've narrowed it down to two for sure, and am 90% sure which one I want, but I'd love to hear what you guys think. The pictures are a little misleading, because the bed is just on the floor right now. We are searching for the perfect bed/headboard (do I see a potential DIY?!), so the bed will be up at least as high as the nightstands, plus the height of the headboard.
Here is a close-up view of options 1 (above) & 2 (below).

Option 1
I love the hammered texture of this glass, and love the darker color. It's a little hard to see in this small picture, so either click on it to make it larger, or there are closeups below. The only downfall with this one is one of the lamp shades is all crumpled on the back. Not a huge deal because I can hide it, but at some point, I will want to replace it.
Option 2
I really like the shape of the glass on these ones, although I am a little concerned the color is too transparent?
Option 3
In the store, I LOVED these lamps. However, in this space, they just aren't working. The gray looks purple when it's compared to our gray walls. So unfortunately, these have got to go. Or maybe be placed in some other room :)

So, what do you guys think? Would you opt for #1 or #2?
I like #1 the best. I work with glass and I love the color and texture of this glass. It looks a lot more expensive than #2. All three are a great value. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the input Lori! I too agree that the glass in #1 looks more expensive :)
DeleteK - I like the first ones, the second ones look a little washed out/fade into the background (because they're clear... haha duh). The first ones make a little more of a POP statement. Can't wait to see the final room you go girl!
ReplyDelete1st ones most def ;)
