CHALKBOARD SPICE JARS

I don't know about you guys, but I loooove Anthropologie.  I walk in the store, and literally want every single thing in there.  Last weekend I was there picking up some hooks for a little coat rack project I'm tackling, when I saw these adorable spice jars.  Chalkboard has been all the rage for some time now, but what I loved about them were their cute little lids.

I resisted the urge to buy all of the turquoise + green ones, because at $10 a pop, it would get really expensive, really fast.

Well last night during a late night run to Target (another store I have a love affair with), I came across these little guys.  Deja vu?

Now I must say, I was really surprised that the Target version of these jars were the same price as the Anthro jars (on sale - normally priced they're more expensive), because usually Target is a steal of a deal.  However, what Target has going for them that Anthro doesn't is that their jars come in three sizes, whereas Anthros are one size fits all, and it's smaller than Target's smallest jar.  So, who wins the battle of the chalkboard jars?  Anthropologie, with their adorable little spice jars in a variety of colors, or Target, with their larger, more versatile jars?

For those of you that want to adorn your house with these cute little guys, you can find them here:
Target: Threshold Stoneware Canister with Lid Blue (Medium)
Target: Threshold Stoneware Canister with Lid Yellow (Small)
Anthropologie: Chalkboard Spice Jar

And PS, I think all the jars are cuter in person than they are online.  Just sayin'. :)  Which are your favorites?

  1. I love these together! I have the Target ones for flour, sugars, and cocoa and I'm using the smaller Anthro ones for spices.
Just an FYI, the yellow Anthro ones are on sale for $5 if you don't mind yellow!
