One of my favorite fabrics for outdoor summer weddings is chiffon. Whether it is used in the wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, or decor, I think it is just stunning. I love how soft, romantic and flowy it is, and it brings in a touch of whimsy into the wedding.

The same holds true when you use chiffon inspired fabrics in your home decor. You can achieve that same sense of whimsy by using sheer curtains in various places throughout your home. I love it! Chiffon curtains never really occured to me, but since I don't need them to block out the sun, they'd be so pretty. How would you keep them from getting too feminine too fast?

If you want to add sheers to your space without looking too feminine, I'd recommend buying them at a length (or hemming them), so they just graze the floor instead of pool up on the floor. This creates a more clean line, which feels more modern and not as feminine. Also, you could try it with a bold pattern like the curtains from West Elm in the last picture!
