the explosion in our living room.

I have to apologize - there's no "Wedding Wednesday" post today.  Why?  Because my life just so happened to explode all over our living room...and after avoiding it for the past couple of days, it is getting desperate for my attention.  Aaah, the joys of moving.

I do have to say though, vacuum bags are a gift from God.  Seriously, go buy them.  Amazing.

However, unpacking them is not so fun.  Especially when you don't have anywhere to put anything.

Disaster zone...before the living room mess was even in here.

So, I'm fixing that problem.

For those of you painting, I highly recommend using Frog Tape.  It works way better than the blue painters tape because the paint doesn't seep under it.

Now, I really am not a fan of these wire shelves because let's face it, they're ugly.  But right now, I don't have the time or the energy to custom make something fabulous, so they'll have to do.

What do you all think of the paint color?  Noel walked in and screeches, "You're going to make it SOOO dark in here!"  Disagree.  I think it will contrast wonderfully with the white shelves that are going to go on the other wall.  More to come...

Oh, and will my fairy godmother please come and bring me some dark curtains?  These sheers are clearly not cutting it because I am woken up at 6am every morning by this.  Looks like I have another thing to add to my to-do list this week.
