wedding wednesday: hanging photos

When we think of hanging a picture, we generally think of pounding a nail in the wall, and setting the picture frame over the nail.  However, another way to hang your pictures is just as it sounds: literally hang your pictures.  You can achieve this look by suspending the pictures from the ceiling, a piece of moulding, or even hanging them from a piece of string or wire.

This style of picture hanging adds a unique twist to your decor that will definitely set your house apart from all your neighbors.  I'm including it as a "wedding wednesday" post because this style of picture hanging works quite well for displaying your pictures at a wedding or various events.

Sometimes, you can buy picture frames that actually incorporate "hanging" photos.  The three photos below showcase these kind of frames.

In the photo on the left, they blew up pictures to look like oversized polaroid pictures, and then clipped them to a wire.  It creates a raw "just hung your photos up to dry in a dark room" look.

The photo below and on the right is one of my favorites: they took wooden pants hangers and used them to hang up their pictures.  So unique!
