Welcome to Through the Front Door! I'm Kirsten, and I am SO happy that you're here!
A little about me:
I love everything houses {especially designing them}.
I am obsessed with the color turquoise.
I adore mango flavored anything.
I am really really really tall.
I am a designer {and would love to help you make your home beautiful!}
My name is pronounced Keer-sten.
I could live off fruit alone.
On August 10th, I married my best friend {see charming young man below}.
Now you know the basics about me, and other than that, 99% of my time is consumed by school {I am currently a grad student who JUST FINISHED my Master of Architecture degree!! Hooorayyy!! And now I'm finishing up my MBA at the University of Colorado Denver}. I created this blog in an attempt to document all the wonderful housing related things I find while procrastinating my life away perusing the internet. While most posts do relate to housing design...I must warn you: this blog has kind of morphed into whatever I feel like rambling on about each week. You can expect a post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and if I'm feeling so inspired, you may get a little extra love some other random days. I hope you enjoy my blog and pretty pretty please contact me with any questions, comments, concerns...you know the drill. I'd love to hear from you!
Still yearning for more? Read about our home or our wedding.

I love home design too! Though I am more of a dreamer than a professional lol. My dad is a builder and I grew up watching him design homes and make those plans come alive. So very cool! Cannot wait to design and build our own home some day.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that turquoise is a fab color and I like "keer-sten" better than kurs-ten (no offense to the Kur-sten sounding Kirstens out there ;)
haha, I agree...but then again, I'm completely biased. To be honest, I've never even met a Kur-sten!
DeleteI bet that was so fun to watch your dad build houses! We built two houses when I was growing up - well, WE didn't build them, we had them built for us. But I just LOVED watching the house come to life (which is probably why I decided to go into architecture! haha).
I'm a "Keersten" :) Most people say it wrong. I'm ok with that, but it's nice to meet other Kirstens! Not many out there. Love your blog!
