shimmer & shine

Crystals add that little bit of shimmer and shine that automatically add a touch of luxury to your wedding. If I were having a winter wedding, there is no doubt in my mind I would have these crystal trees as centerpieces.  Aren't they stunning?

When added in your home decor, crystals can give off that same luxurious vibe they do at weddings.  My favorite place to add a little glam at home?  Through your lighting.  When the lights are on, this pretty gem sparkles like crazy.

This chandelier is one of my all time favorites.  I love the clean contemporary lines, mixed with the fun and flirty shimmer that comes from the crystals.  I do have a bit of bone to pick however.  The chandelier on the left is from "Design Within Reach," which I like to affectionately call "Design Completely Out of Reach."  Why?  Oh, maybe because it costs $2,730!  Yeah, that's completely within reach...if you live in the Hollywood Hills.  I think I'll stick to the Z Gallerie version for $349, thank you very much.

Cost issues aside, here are some examples of how lovely it looks above your dining room table:

Here's another example from Design Within Completely Out of Reach...on sale for $2,565.  SALE.  Oh gee thanks.  So nice of you to so heavily discount it.  Once again, Z Gallerie, I love you.  $299.  And I like how it looks better.

And another similar chandelier, originally from West Elm:

These stunning fixtures can live in other rooms besides just your dining room.  Check out these examples for your kitchen and bathroom.

Hope you all have a happy Wednesday!  Also, don't forget to submit your space for the "Through YOUR Front Door" series...the link up closes tomorrow at 11:59pm!

  4. I'm not normally a big chandelier person, but I like these. Probably because they're not so fancy pants.
