yellow + gray

Look out turquoise, there's a new color in town.  Well...that may be a stretch...but recently I've been absolutely in looove with the color combo of yellow and gray.  I don't know what it is, but there's just something about the bright vibrant yellow against the muted gray that I just adore.

pretty in pink

Jenn Corazzo, knowing your love for pink, I think you'll appreciate this post.

I came across this mirror on Craigslist, and instantly fell in love.  Well, sorta.  I fell in love with what it could be.  The black and gold was a little old school for me...but for the practically free price tag, I couldn't resist this DIY.

bubble chandeliers

Lately, I've been absolutely obsessed with these bubble chandeliers (previously mentioned in the post Lighting I'm Loving). They are simply stunning!  However, their price tag is pretty stunning too...I've seen them as "cheap" as $400, and then upwards of $2,000.  RE-donkulous. So, when I'm back in the great state of 10,000 lakes in August...I am determined to make one of these beautiful fixtures.  I haven't figured out the logistics yet...but I have a pretty good idea.  I'll post more when I have an update on how it's going.  But for now...here are some to-die-for images.

Let the Design Begin!

So I fiiiiinally got to see the new house last weekend when I was back in MN for a brief minute, and now I can't WAIT to get back in August and whip this place into shape.  The house was built in 2007, so it doesn't really need "fixing up" buuut...it's incredibly builder generic and is in need of a little design lovin.  So first up: the guest bathroom - and here's a little teaser about what I'm thinking...

Before: Builder Boring
(These are the initial pictures from when Noel first toured the house)

Current

And a sneak peak of what's to come...

Goodbye linoleum, hello tile!
(The color is a little different...it didn't show up the best in this picture)

Aaaand, this would be the color palette.

But, that's all for now...more to come later!  Have a fabulous weekend!
